Hello.  My name is Megan Parish and I am the library director here at the Bay Mills Community College Library.  I was born and raised here in Brimley, Michigan on the shores of Lake Superior.  I received my high school diploma from Brimley Area Schools after attending there since kindergarten.

After high school, I moved to Allendale, Michigan and attended Grand Valley State University.  While at Grand Valley, I studied English literature and language and minored in history.  I received my bachelor’s degree in April of 2011 and moved back home to the Upper Peninsula.

In May of 2011, I was hired as the library director by Bay Mills Community College.  I am currently pursuing my master’s degree from Wayne State University in Library and Information Science.

On a more personal note, I enjoy reading and spending time with family.  I enjoy most outdoor activities, including camping, swimming, hiking, and spending time on the lake.
