Meeting The Performance Standards in the Head Start Home
Based Program Option
Home visitors need to identify various strategies for meeting the component objectives of the Head Start Program Performance Standards. The videotape depicts various ways in which many of these objectives can be met. Refer to the Head Start Program Performance Standards and this publication's fact sheet entitled, "How to Meet the Performance Standards in the Head Start Home-Based Program Option' (page 29). On the fact sheet, the Performance Standards have been paraphrased to reflect the Head Start home-based program option. Only those Standards that might be identified in the videotape are included. As you view the videotape, look for examples of activities that meet the Performance Standards in each of the component areas. Record these examples on a photo-copy of the chart below.
