Immunization Education and Action Committee
The Immunization Education and Action Committee (LEAC), an issue committee of the national Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition, educates professionals and the public about the importance of timely immunizations for America's children. It is involved with many activities, such as collecting and sharing information about the importance of age-appropriate immunization and access to health care services.

The goal of the LEAC is to achieve and maintain full immunization of at least 90% of all children in the United States by their second birthday, particularly children of ethnic and racial minorities and those in undeserved communities.

LEAC staff provide technical assistance on a wide range of issues, including coalition building, parent education, community outreach, educational work shops, mobile van programs, and promotion of National Infant Immunization Week. In addition, the LEAC provides information and resources through its quarterly newsletter.
