The NMCI is a private, non-profit organization founded to provide understanding and respect among people of difficult racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. The organization offers diversity training and consulting, develops educational resource materials, and maintains a multi-lingual mental health counseling and referral service. It also organizes three national conferences a year on issues of culture, ethnicity, race, age, gender, and sexual preference.
