Lilly Endowment, inc

Bay Mills Community College – Woksape Oyate (Wisdom of the People) project is managed by the American Indian College Fund (AICF) and funded through a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, inc.  Each year, BMCC is provided funds to “Enhance organizational leadership capacity through higher education of tribal members” and “Improve job performance for faculty and staff and meet Higher Learning Commission mandates through training and professional development”.

The project is currently in its fourth year of a five year cycle and BMCC has benefited immensely from the resources provided by Lilly and the oversight and technical assistance of AICF staff. 

BMCC administration and Board of Regents believe in planning for the future; whether it involves our students, staff, financial resources, or our facilities.  Funding from the Lilly Endowment, inc has been instrumental in helping us adhere to our organizational leadership and professional development commitment to this community and the people we serve.
