Hello, my name is Deborah Haines. I am a faculty member of the Bay Mills Community College in Bay Mills, Michigan. I have been interested in art and design for many years. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Connecticut with a major in oil painting and drawing. I also have a Master of Arts degree in American Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, also in Connecticut, with a focus on art and literature. Recently I have been working in the book publishing field and work as an editor and designer.

I know you will enjoy this new course, with its global approach to studying art around the world and close to home. We will continue to develop more resource links so that you as the student will know more about the art world around you, and how you can experience and understand the richness of the creative arts in our world today.

If you have any questions, please contact me at the E-mail address above.

Good luck and enjoy the course, HU-116!
