Week 1
- Familiarize yourself with the Head Start Performance Standards 1304.51 Management Systems and Procedures Sections. This can be found at:
http://childrensfundsbcounty.org/PSD/Forms/General_Forms/Content_Area_1304_51_Management_Systems_and_Procedures.htm.
- Keep a copy in your Project Binder for future reference. This will be the main focus of this class. Label this section Performance Standards.
Week 2
Effective record-keeping and reporting systems provide the information needed to individualize programs for children and families, to monitor the quality of program services, to assist in program planning and management, and to ensure the delivery of quality services. Week 3
You want to make sure that record-keeping and reporting is streamlined and necessary. Week 4
Timelines are useful tools that allow us to plan ahead. Week 5
As a method of measuring agency accomplishments, strengths, and weaknesses, self-assessment allows for the continuous improvement of program plans and service delivery methods. Week 6
You will be using the Self-Assessment Guide Section 2.
Midterm is due no later than the end of the 6th week.Week 7
You will be using the Self-Assessment Guide Section 3 Students: Please fill out the Mid-Semester Course Feedback. Week 8
You will be using the Self-Assessment Guide Section 4 Week 9
Review the homework assignments so far and make a note in your binder under the Tool Kit section. Week 10
Ongoing, regular monitoring by grantee agencies helps to assess grantee and delegate operations. Week 11
A process for appeals to grantees by current or prospective delegate agencies is established in 45 CFR Part 1303, Subpart C; 45 CFR 1304.60, and 45 CFR 1304.61. Week 12
This week, bring all of the tasks together into one calendar/timeline. Week 13
This week you will research an article on Evaluation Design. Week 14
Review all documents, copies, articles, charts, homework assignments, etc. in your project binder. Did you forget anything? Week 15
Final due no later than the end of the 15th week.
