Course Description: This course is designed to teach students about strategic planning processes and how those processes integrate into the writing and design of superior program proposals. This is an introductory course that will introduce students to a number of planning tools and techniques. It also teaches the mechanics of successful proposal writing.

The back of the book contains worksheets; these will be utilized for assignments, and help to reinforce materials covered in the strategic planning process. This book is well written and easy to follow. Just remember the Five Steps outlined on the back cover.

The last section of the class will be simple steps to proposal writing. These steps are also designed for the non-profit organization. Your final project will be to submit to me a simple proposal. Do not worry, it does not have to be elaborate; however, I do expect it to contain all the pertinent sections we will be discussing.
