The weeks that you do not have writing assignments you are expected to post on the Bulletin Board at least once. This post should consist of your thoughts and feelings regarding the material you covered for the chapter that week or you may respond to another student's post.
All written work including tests should be grammatically and mechanically correct. All of your assignments, formal and informal, should be demonstrations of your ability to express your ideas.
GRADE COMPOSITION: I grade on a point system and as such the student can figure out exactly where they stand at any given point in time by taking the total amount of points that they have and dividing it by the total amount of points possible. This will give the student a decimal and if the student moves the decimal point two places to the right they will get the percentage that they currently have and can plug it into the following scale:
A 90%-100% B 80%-89% C 70%-79% D 60%-69% F 00%-59%
*I do give pluses and minuses depending
where you fall within that grade.
