Nancy is currently chair of the Criminal Justice/Corrections department. She teaches correctional classes both on line and in the classroom setting. Nancy also teaches the teacher methods courses for Ferris State University at the Bay Mills Community College campus. Two years ago she retired as the Superintendent of the Rudyard Area Schools District after serving there for 5 years. Prior to being superintendent, she was employed by the Michigan Department of Corrections as a teacher, administrative assistant to the Warden and as an academic and vocational principal to over 3,500 male inmates. While at the prison, Nancy spear headed the Prison Build/Habitat for Humanity program. She also served as president of the Michigan Correctional Education Association Region III. Nancy spoke at many national correctional conferences. Nancy has taught all grades from first through college, only not having the opportunity to teach kindergarten.
