Lesson 1 - Website Design Basics and Using FTP
Website Design Basics
Good website design begins with planning. In this course, we will design a website by adding various elements to our site throughout the course, but the background colors, text color, and much of the content will be your choice. There is a list of colors that is recognized by web browsers in the beginning of the HTML Goodies book. We will discuss more on this later in the course.FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
FTP is used to send (upload) and receive (download) web pages to a web server or other types of servers that are connected to the Internet. In this course, we will be using an FTP program to send pages to our site so it is important that you become familiar (and comfortable) with using this program.Assigned Reading - HTML Goodies
