Online education offers the conveniences of no travel required, no schedule for class, no inclement weather to worry about, no having to purchase gas at $3.00 plus, per gallon. As there are many advantages to participating in an online course, there are also disadvantages, as with anything. It is very close to attending courses in a traditional/on-site classroom. Online courses require more discipline than attending a traditional class as students are responsible for monitoring themselves and managing time appropriately. There are many similarities, the major difference being that you do not physically attend class. That's not to say that you will not participate. You must participate to learn, as with any class. In short, your learning experience in this course will be this: you will get out of it what you put into it.
