CS204 - Introduction to Web Site Design - Assignments

Students are required to create a journal report that documents their learning and experience throughout the course. See the assignment descriptions below to determine which is applicable to you.

Journal - (20 points) - Students will create a journal to be compiled into a report to be turned in at the end of the course. This assignment is worth 20 points. The report should include a short summary of your reflections on learning and your experience for this course.

Lessons (20 points each) - Each lesson will contain three parts: 1) assigned reading 2) lab assignment and 3) enrichment assignment which is intended to be used as a learning supplement to the lesson content. The lesson should be completed by noon on the Sunday at the end of the week. Ten percent will be deducted for each day the assignment is late. The course calendar is tentative and will be followed based on student progress to facilitate effective learning. Each lesson is designed so that students will learn through experience. All lessons will involve reading, research and practical application. In addition, the course calendar contains a week-by-week listing of dates and topics that will be covered.

Some lab assignments will involve short, written reports about the assigned topic. BMCC is participating in "Writing Across the Curriculum." All written reports must be grammatically and punctually correct, as well as being spelled correctly. Any report that does not meet these criteria will be returned to the student to be corrected.
