Hi Class, my name is Kayla LaHaie and I will be your instructor for this course. During the week, I also work at University of Michigan as an Instructional Designer. Over the past 10 years or so, I have held various marketing/sales positions. A few years ago, I was the Director of Marketing for a privately owned, long-term care facility. This position gave me the opportunity to "wear many hats" and experience numerous aspects of the marketing profession.

I have been teaching in the online environment for three years and I love it! I received my undergraduate degree from Walsh College with a major in Marketing and a minor in Computer Information Systems. Like you, I was a "virtual" student too! I received my MBA (specializing in E-Business) entirely online from Capella University. Because I have also taken online courses before, I can relate to the experience you are about to have. If you are new to learning in this type of format, please do not feel intimidated. Even though we do not physically see each other on a weekly basis, there will be a great deal of interaction between all of us throughout the course.

My ultimate mission is to provide you with the education that you are seeking here at Bay Mills Community College.  I have received my education, and I value it very much.  It is now my turn to share that education with you.  If I fail to achieve that mission, than we have both lost in our endeavors together.
