Welcome to Principles of Macroeconomics!

My name is Laurie VanSloten and after being away from the Eastern Upper Penninsula (of Michigan) for 10 years, I am back! They say, "Home is where the heart is!" and I have to admit, I had a hard time calling any place else, "home!" I guess that is what prompted my return.

I enjoy spending time with family (especially my nephews and niece) and friends. However, they usually get put on the back burner as I keep very busy with the Middle and High School Youthgroups that I assist, a Bible Study that I attend regularly, an Adult Sunday School that I facilitate, a Volleyball league that I participate in, as well as coaching girls Basketball and Volleyball at the Elementary and Middle School levels. Do not worry, I will make time for this course and more importantly - YOU! I am always available for questions. That is the nice thing about teaching On-Line, I can check my e-mail from almost anywhere!.

As a 2000 graduate of Albion College, where I earned my B.A. in Economics and Management, I look forward to helping you learn about Macroeconomics. With that said, I wish you the very best in this class and please remember that communication is key to your success in this course and there is no such thing as a stupid question!
