Drop Policy:
Non attendance and/or
failure to complete assignments DOES NOT constitute a drop from
an online course. When the registration process is complete (all appropriate
paperwork is on file at BMCC and the student has been issued a password
for the course), the student is enrolled. If a student wishes to drop
the course, s/he must send an e-mail stating his/her intention to drop to
the Virtual College Coordinator at lparish@bmcc.edu.
The Coordinator will request that the Student Services office complete a drop for the
student. If the drop is completed within 10 days of the semester start date, a refund will be issued for any applicable tuition and/or fees. If more than 10 days, but fewer than eight weeks, have passed,
the student may drop but will forfeit any refund from BMCC. Students have
a maximum of 8 weeks from the start date of the course to drop. After 8 weeks
BMCC's registrar must approve any drops.
All courses run for 15 week
sessions. You will be assigned to a specific start date based upon the date on which you register.

Cutoff Dates:
Please be aware that there are specific registration cutoff
dates for online semesters. Semesters generally run as closely as possible to on-campus semesters, with a Winter start date in mid-January, a Summer start date in mid-May, and a Fall start date in mid-September.
