Accreditation History

1992 Initial candidacy status was sought and received from the Higher Learning Commission.
1995

Initial accreditation was granted by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

1998 A comprehensive self-study visit took place on April 20-22; the visit resulted in continued accreditation for the full time period allowed.
2005 BMCC submitted to HLC a Request for Institutional Change to “offer the following degree in a fully online format: Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science.” A focus visit for change took place June 20-21; the visit resulted in two Associate’s degree programs being approved for online format.
2008 Comprehensive self-study visit scheduled for March 3-5.
